Highlands Health and Rehabilitation Center is seeking a Certified Dietary Manager to lead our dietary department in Memphis, Tennessee and ensure our residents receive nutritious meals in a safe and welcoming environment.
Previous leadership experience in healthcare, long term care or food service
Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and therapeutic diets
Strong communication, organizational and leadership skills
CDM is preferred but not required
Oversee daily operations of the dietary department, including food production, meal service, sanitation, and staffing.
Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including CMS, state health department, and food safety standards.
Collaborate with the Registered Dietitian, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary team to support residents' nutritional needs.
Develop and maintain menus that meet therapeutic diet requirements and resident preferences.
Manage department budgets, food purchasing, inventory, and cost controls.
Recruit, train, schedule, supervise, and evaluate dietary staff.
Monitor food quality, resident satisfaction, and meal service performance.
Maintain accurate records related to food safety, sanitation, staffing, and regulatory compliance.
Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives.
