Job summary

Pinnacle Propane is seeking a Director of Health and Safety to lead our HSSE program across locations in Irving, TX. This high-impact role standardizes safety processes, strengthens regulatory readiness, and protects employees, customers, and assets while traveling to field sites.

The candidate will oversee training, audits, incident investigations, and continuous improvement in partnership with Operations, Logistics, and senior leadership. Strong communication and leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or related field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years in HSSE, safety/regulatory compliance or safety-sensitive operations.
• Experience with DOT compliance, audits, investigations, and root cause analysis.
• Experience building and supporting safety training, onboarding, and competency validation.
• Propane/energy/logistics or industrial operations experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead HSSE governance, policies, SOPs, and regulatory compliance program.
• Develop and deliver safety training, onboarding, and certification tracking.
• Provide field HSSE leadership through ride-alongs, coaching, and risk prevention.
• Manage site audits, DOT safety compliance, risk assessments, and corrective actions.
• Lead investigations, determine root causes, and drive corrective actions.
• Maintain HSSE scorecards, dashboards, and KPI reporting for senior leadership.
• Coach HSSE personnel and coordinate with HR and Operations on staffing needs.
