Job summary

City of Hope in California seeks a Director, Business Development & Partnerships to lead growth across its clinical enterprise, building collaborations with hospitals, physicians, and community partners to expand access and service lines.

Reporting to VP, this role guides strategy, negotiations, and program launches, translating data into actionable plans while mentoring a team and coordinating with finance, strategy, and operations.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years in clinical program development or business development within hospitals.
• 5 years in leadership roles.
• Strong analytical, research and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Identify and implement new hospital partnerships and geographic expansion.
• Manage a portfolio of partnerships with performance metrics.
• Develop business plans and data-driven recommendations.
• Lead cross-functional workstreams and stakeholder communications.
• Cultivate relationships with hospital, physician, and community stakeholders.
• Support agreement development and deal negotiations with leadership and legal.
• Create executive and board-ready presentations.
• Collaborate with clinicians and operations to launch new care programs.
• Oversee partnership performance and remove operational barriers.
• Lead and grow the Enterprise Growth Team on partnership initiatives.
