Job summary

Millennium Space Systems, a Boeing Company, seeks a leader for Harness Manufacturing to direct end-to-end production of complex satellite wiring harnesses. You will oversee assembly, testing, and transition to higher-rate production, guiding technicians and engineers to meet flight specifications.

The role reports to the VP of Manufacturing and requires 15+ years in aerospace manufacturing, with a focus on harnessing and high-rate production. U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
• 15+ years’ experience in manufacturing, mechanical, electrical, test engineering, materials and process engineering in Aerospace/Automotive/Commercial industries.
• Subject matter expertise in harnessing, PCBA, structural assembly, bonding, mechanisms, or composite honeycomb machining.
• High level of proficiency in MRP/ERP systems.
• Experience working with a union represented workforce.
• This position requires U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to manufacturing personnel and ensure safe, high-quality production to meet cost goals.
• Develop understanding of health of Manufacturing and Production (capacity, workforce, throughput, bottlenecks).
• Assist with Millennium factory build efforts: staffing, planning of satellite production lines, flight program builds.
• Define and execute continuous improvement strategies to achieve business objectives.
• Manage teams to produce satellite components and support integration.
• Lead transitions from low-rate to higher-rate production and across locations.
• Support proposals and coordinate gate review processes.
• Implement AS9100 quality practices for harness manufacturing.
• Manage Manufacturing OH and Process Improvement budgets and capital budgets.
• Communicate state of the company to production personnel.
