Job summary

Sandestin Golf & Beach Resort in Miramar Beach, Florida, is seeking an experienced Director of Group Sales to lead the group sales team and drive large-scale events for a premier coastal destination.

The role reports to the Executive Director of Sales and requires a proven background in luxury hospitality group sales, with strong leadership, client relationship skills, and the ability to manage budgets and forecasts for 90,000 square feet of flexible conference space.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Business Administration, Marketing, or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in group sales within the luxury resort, hospitality, or events industry.
• Proven track record of successful sales and revenue growth, with a focus on group sales.
• Strong leadership skills, with experience managing and motivating sales teams.
• Exceptional interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Familiarity with sales management software and CRM systems.
• A passion for customer service, hospitality, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and Sales Strategy: Lead the group sales team in creating and implementing strategies to attract large-scale events and corporate groups.
• Promote Conference and Event Spaces: Highlight our 90,000 sq ft of meeting and event spaces to showcase Sandestin as the ideal destination for events.
• Client Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain relationships with corporate clients, meeting planners, and event organizers.
• Team Leadership and Development: Mentor and guide the group sales team and facilitate training and development.
• Market Analysis and Trend Monitoring: Stay informed about trends in meetings and events and competitor offerings.
• Collaboration with Resort Departments: Work with operations, catering, marketing and other departments to align group sales initiatives.
