Job summary

OpenFn is hiring its first Director of Fundraising to lead major donor, foundation, and mission-aligned funder engagement. You will build the fundraising function from the ground up, develop a strategy, cultivate relationships, and create compelling funding proposals that align with Digital Public Goods and DPI objectives.

You will work remotely within a lean, fully-remote team, coordinating with the CEO and leadership to grow multi-year support while communicating impact and outcomes to funders

Qualifications

• 10+ years in fundraising, development, or philanthropic partnerships.
• Established network with foundations, major donors, and institutional funders.
• Proven history of securing multi-year gifts and stewarding funder relationships.

Responsibilities

• Build fundraising strategy across major donors and foundations.
• Cultivate and steward relationships with funders and donors.
• Develop funding proposals, narratives, and reports.
• Engage policy and Digital Public Goods ecosystems to unlock funding.
• Track pipeline and reporting to CEO and leadership.
