Job summary

The Orthodox Union (OU) seeks a strategic Institutional Advancement leader to drive fundraising strategy and oversee cross-department collaboration. You will guide major gifts, campaigns, and donor engagement while strengthening fundraising excellence across the organization.

You will build a Center of Excellence, lead staff development, and partner with program leadership to translate priorities into measurable fundraising results.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Significant experience in fundraising strategy, advancement operations, nonprofit management, or a related field.
• Demonstrated success developing and executing fundraising strategies and improving fundraising operations.
• Strong knowledge of campaign planning, donor engagement, prospect development, stewardship, fundraising data, and performance measurement.

Responsibilities

• Develop and oversee comprehensive fundraising strategies aligned with priorities.
• Lead fundraising plans with goals, donors, timelines, and performance metrics.
• Guide major gifts, capital campaigns, and special events.
• Oversee fundraising operations including data services, gift processing, and reporting.
