Job summary

Orthodox Union (OU), a leading nonprofit and kosher certification organization, seeks a senior FP&A Manager in New York. You will lead budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting, translating complex data into actionable insights for senior leadership.

You will develop forward-looking analyses, coordinate reforecasts, and produce executive-ready dashboards and reports. Strong Excel/Power BI skills and nonprofit experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Admin or related field.
• 7–10 years in FP&A, corporate finance, or related area.
• CPA/MBA/CMA/CFA or similar preferred.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and exec-level reporting.
• Strong written and verbal communication for nonfinancial audiences.
• Nonprofit or multi-entity experience preferred.
• Automation experience using coding or AI preferred.
• Advanced Excel and Power BI skills; data visualization and reporting automation.

Responsibilities

• Lead organization-wide budget, liquidity forecasting, reforecasting, and long-range planning.
• Prepare monthly/quarterly analyses for management and Board; present findings.
• Develop concise management reports, dashboards, KPIs, and exec summaries.
• Analyze revenue, expenses, grants, and program-level financial performance.
• Standardize budgeting, forecasting, reporting processes; improve templates and controls.
• Communicate conclusions clearly to financial and nonfinancial stakeholders.
• Partner with leaders to evaluate budgets, staffing, allocations, and funding needs.
• Identify drivers, risks, opportunities, and recommended actions.
