Job summary

Aspire Living & Learning seeks an experienced Director of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) to provide strategic financial leadership across the organization. Reporting to the CFO, this role oversees budgeting, forecasting, modeling, performance analysis, and long-range planning to sustain mission-driven programs.

You will partner with executive leaders and program teams to turn complex data into actionable insights, drive financial sustainability, and mentor a team of analysts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, business, or related field.
• At least 8 years of progressive experience in financial planning, financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and financial leadership.
• Demonstrated expertise in financial modeling, scenario planning, forecasting, budgeting, and management reporting.
• Ability to translate financial and operational data into actionable recommendations.
• Experience supervising, mentoring, and developing high-performing finance or analytics teams.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling.
• Experience with nonprofit financial management, grants, contracts, or reimbursement-based funding models.
• MBA, master’s degree in finance, or related advanced degree.
• Experience supporting program expansion, organizational growth, or multi-site operations.
• Familiarity with data visualization, business intelligence, or financial planning and analysis software.

Responsibilities

• Lead budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, performance analysis, and long-term planning.
• Partner with CFO and senior leadership to develop and implement financial strategy.
• Provide financial analysis and decision support for executive leadership and Board reporting.
• Develop rolling forecasts, scenario analyses, and financial models.
• Deliver timely, accurate financial reporting to leaders and stakeholders.
• Mentor, supervise, and develop a team of financial analysts.
• Collaborate with accounting, grants management, compliance, and other teams to ensure financial integrity.
• Translate complex data into clear insights for non-financial stakeholders.
