Overview

Plan and manage the Human Resources and Operations of the Food and Beverage divisions to achieve customer (guest, associates, corporate, and owners) satisfaction and quality service while meeting/exceeding financial goals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Direct day-to-day operations for all restaurant outlets, room service, culinary, stewarding, beverage, banquet, and purchasing operations.
  2. Respond to customer trends, needs, issues, comments, and problems to ensure a quality experience and enhance future sales prospects.
  3. Market the Food and Beverage outlets; develop and manage the implementation of menus, package deals, promotions, displays, decorations, and presentations within corporate guidelines to capture more in-house guests and a larger share of the local market to meet/exceed sales and financial goals and objectives.
  4. Develop, implement, and manage the department's business/marketing plan and budget; continually analyze, forecast, monitor, and control labor and food costs to meet/exceed management/budget objectives.
  5. Manage the maintenance/sanitation of the Food and Beverage areas and equipment in the hotel to protect assets, comply with regulations, and ensure quality service.
  6. Implement and manage all company programs to ensure compliance with SOPs and LSOPs, including safety and sanitary regulations, federal, state, franchise, and local regulations to provide quality service and hospitality.
  7. Execute and promote the Accident Prevention Program to minimize liabilities and related expenses.
  8. Interview, hire, train, evaluate performance, resolve problems, communicate openly, and recommend discipline or termination when appropriate.
  9. Comply with attendance rules and be available to work regularly.
  10. Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills
  1. Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  2. 3+ years of employment in a related position with this company or others.
  3. Hotel experience preferred.
  4. Requires advanced knowledge of food principles and practices, including management of people and complex problems in food and beverage management.
  5. Knowledge of hotel operations, marketing plans, security and safety programs, personnel and labor relations, business plan preparation, repairs, maintenance, budget forecasting, quality assurance, hospitality law, and long-range planning.
  6. Effective verbal and written communication skills, adaptable to different audiences, including supervisors, coworkers, and the public.
