Job summary

Sperber Companies seeks aDirector of Fleet to lead enterprise fleet strategy, governance, and lifecycle management for vehicles and equipment. You will shape CapEx planning, vendor strategy, and performance reporting across the organization, partnering with Operations, Finance and IT.

The role requires strong leadership, deep knowledge of fleet management, and the ability to drive cost optimization, risk reduction, and EBITDA impacts while aligning with enterprise standards.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in fleet/asset-management with leadership experience.
• Experience with large, decentralized fleet across multiple locations.
• Strong knowledge of lifecycle strategy, maintenance, CapEx, utilization, and total cost of ownership.
• Experience managing in-house and outsourced maintenance operations.
• Knowledge of fleet compliance requirements and controls.
• Strong analytical, financial, negotiation, change-management, and executive communication skills.
• Experience with Fleetio, telematics, fuel-management systems, and ERP/FAM platforms preferred.
• Experience in asset-intensive industries (landscaping, construction, field services) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the enterprise fleet strategy across vehicles and equipment.
• Establish fleet policies, standards, controls, and decision rights across operating businesses.
• Define the Fleet Operating System and ensure consistent adoption across the organization.
• Provide executive leadership with fleet performance, risks, priorities, and recommendations.
