Job summary

The Andrew Carnegie Foundation seeks a Director of Financial Planning, Analysis and Systems to lead budgeting, financial reporting, and finance systems integration. This role reports to the VP/CFO and will oversee system workflows, training, and committee materials.

Responsibilities include leading the budget process, developing financial models, and delivering tailored reporting. Onsite work in New York with strong emphasis on process improvement and governance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration, data science or related field.
• 7 years of experience in finance roles with leadership impact.
• Advanced Excel skills including Power Query, Power BI and VBA.
• Experience with accounting, grants management and expense reporting systems.
• Experience rolling out systems and process changes across teams.
• Strong analytical ability to turn data into insights.
• Onsite work required.

Responsibilities

• Lead budgeting process with templates, timelines and department coordination.
• Oversee system integrations and workflows across finance operations.
• Develop and implement new financial systems and training.
• Provide budget-to-actual reporting and surface issues to CFO.
• Create KPI dashboards for CFO and senior leadership.
• Prepare monthly payroll, benefits and investment allocations.
• Act as backup for planning and committee materials.
• Review grants match compliance and file 1099s as needed.
