Job summary

The John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation seeks a Director of Financial Planning and Analysis to lead the Finance Planning team in the Office of Finance.

You will manage day-to-day planning, budgeting, ad hoc modeling, and ensure GAAP compliance for the Foundation and Lever for Change. Qualifications include MBA or CPA/CMA, 15+ years of experience, and strong leadership, communication, and systems expertise.

Qualifications

• MBA or CPA/CMA preferred and degrees essential
• 15+ years of related work experience
• Experience supervising a finance team
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, forecasting and budgeting
• Knowledge of nonprofit/private foundation regulations and practices

Responsibilities

• Lead the Finance Planning team within the Office of Finance
• Oversee budgeting, financial reporting and ad hoc financial modeling
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and relevant regulations
• Develop dashboards and KPIs for executive leadership
• Coordinate with Lever for Change and Foundation staff on financial matters
• Hire and develop staff and set performance expectations
• Oversee financial systems implementation and maintenance
• Provide strategic financial guidance to senior leadership
