Job summary

CFS is seeking a Director of Finance in Pittsburgh, PA (Hybrid) to provide strategic and operational leadership across accounting and finance functions. The role oversees financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, and internal controls while partnering with the CFO and senior leadership.

Primary responsibilities include leading month-end close, coordinating audits, and ensuring compliance with GAAP and government grant requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 3–5 years of progressive finance management or senior accounting experience.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, cash flow management, and month-end/year-end close.
• Experience overseeing government grants, contracts, funding, and revenue cycle management preferred.
• Strong Excel skills and ability to collaborate with senior leadership.

Responsibilities

• Oversee accounting functions, ledgers, and financial reporting in accordance with GAAP and regulatory requirements.
• Lead budgeting and forecasting processes and develop financial narratives for grants and proposals.
• Coordinate annual audits, tax reporting, and external financial reviews with external firms.
• Partner with department leaders to translate financial information into actionable insights.
