AppleOne is seeking a visionary Director of Finance to lead our financial strategy at a fast-growing organization in Bakersfield. You will drive budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and data-driven decision-making, partnering with the executive team to shape growth, investments, and risk management.

You’ll build and mentor a high-performing finance team, ensure GAAP compliance and strong internal controls, and oversee accounting operations, audits, and revenue cycle management.

The Opportunity

We’re seeking a visionary Director of Finance to lead our financial strategy, drive operational efficiency, and empower data-driven decision-making across the business. This is more than a numbers role — it’s a strategic seat at the table, influencing growth, investment, and innovation.

What You’ll Do

• Strategic Leadership: Partner with executive leadership to develop and execute financial strategies that support long-term growth and profitability.
• Financial Planning & Analysis: Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling to provide actionable insights and guide business decisions.
• Operational Excellence: Optimize financial processes, systems, and controls to ensure accuracy, compliance, and scalability.
• Team Development: Build and mentor a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of accountability, curiosity, and continuous improvement.
• Risk Management: Oversee risk assessment, mitigation strategies, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Present financial results and strategic recommendations to the board, investors, and senior leadership.

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience as a senior finance leader (Director, VP, or similar) in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
• Strong command of financial planning, analysis, and reporting.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• CPA, CFA, or MBA preferred.
• Experience with ERP systems and financial technologies is a plus.

MBA / CMA or CPA Preferred

• Minimum of five (5) years of progressive leadership experience as a Controller, Finance Manager, Director of Finance, or equivalent role.
• Minimum of five (5) years of supervisory or people leadership experience.
• Experience overseeing accounting operations, financial reporting, budgeting, audits, and revenue cycle management.
• Experience working within a complex, multi-department organization preferred.

• Strong financial analysis, accounting, forecasting, and budgeting expertise.
• Advanced knowledge of GAAP and internal controls.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and presentation skills.
• Strong business acumen and strategic thinking capabilities.
• Demonstrated ability to drive process improvements and operational efficiencies.
• Exceptional organizational, problem-solving, and project management skills.
• Proficiency with ERP, accounting, payroll, and financial reporting systems.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
