Job summary

Kelly Wearstler seeks a Director of FF&E to lead furnishings, fixtures, and equipment for luxury hospitality and private estates. The role demands a discerning eye for materiality, strong command of FF&E from sourcing to installation, and both creative and operational leadership across a multi-project portfolio.

Responsibilities include directing FF&E direction, mentoring teams, managing client relationships, and driving procurement strategy.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of high-end FF&E interior design experience.
• 3–5 years in a senior leadership role.
• Proven track record across luxury hospitality and residential portfolios.
• Deep knowledge of FF&E design, specification, procurement, and materials.
• Established network of vendor, artisan, and fabricator relationships internationally.
• Substantial construction administration and FF&E installation experience.
• Familiarity with AI-powered design and workflow tools and emerging technologies.
• Strong presentation and communication skills; confident leading client and internal meetings.
• Experience supporting business development and client relationship growth.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office; SketchUp, Revit, Rhino, and Enscape a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead FF&E creative direction and project management from concept through installation.
• Oversee and mentor multidisciplinary FF&E teams across all project phases.
• Act as a primary client-facing leader for FF&E programming; build relationships with owners, developers, and brand partners.
• Drive sourcing strategy, custom design, specification, and procurement across active projects.
• Cultivate and manage relationships with vendors, artisans, fabricators, and showrooms globally.
• Partner with project leadership to align FF&E budgets and schedules with milestones.
• Contribute to new business development through pitches and client cultivation.
• Lead design reviews and professional development for the FF&E team.
• Champion integration of AI tools across the FF&E workflow.
