Job summary

Alpha School is hiring for a Director of Community Engagement to lead the parent-facing side of a leadership partnership with Guides. You will own the growth, retention, and advocacy of every family on campus, and make real-time judgment calls in sensitive situations. This is aW2 full-time role focused on on-site campus communities across multiple U.S.

cities. You will work closely with Guides to align before/after conversations, defend the school's model, and drive local partnerships and

Qualifications

5+ years personally owning high-trust relationships with families, clients, donors, or members.
Independent ownership of an ambiguous relationship, community, or growth outcome, with results you can point to as your own.
Hands-on daily use of AI tools, and genuine conviction about AI-powered education.

Responsibilities

Own the relationship with every family on campus and lead the hard conversations.
Operate as the parent-facing co-leader alongside your Guides and protect the coaching relationship.
Make real-time calls in ambiguous student and family situations and escalate as needed.
Build the campus community through traditions, networks, and local partnerships.
Own growth contribution for the campus phase and ensure admissions follow-through.
