Job summary

Alpha School is seeking a Director of Family Relations to lead the parent-facing side of campus leadership. You will own hard conversations, protect the Guides’ coaching relationship, and ensure families feel understood and supported.

You’ll collaborate across teams to align decisions, build community, and drive campus growth—from launch to mature stages—while managing real-time judgement calls with integrity.

Qualifications

• 5+ years owning high-trust relationships with families or clients.
• Ability to make difficult decisions clearly and confidently.
• Experience using AI tools daily in an educational context.

Responsibilities

• As Director of Family Relations, manage the relationships with every family on campus and lead hard conversations.
• Collaborate with Guides to align before and after sensitive discussions and protect the coaching relationship.
• Make real-time calls in ambiguous situations and escalate high-risk matters appropriately.
• Build campus community through events, parent networks and partnerships.
• Own growth contribution for the campus phase, including admissions follow-through or retention targets.
