Job summary

The Residence at Dania Beach is seeking an experienced Director of Facilities to oversee environmental, maintenance and operations across the campus, ensuring regulatory compliance and safe, efficient infrastructure for residents and staff. Lead the planning and execution of construction, renovations, and daily facility management, including vendor negotiations, budgeting, and safety programs.

A bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field is preferred, with strong leadership and contract

Qualifications

• Possess knowledge of contract administration and office procedures

• Knowledge of NFPA, TJC, AHCA, CMS, DNV, EPA and OSHA codes and regulations

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and control functions and activities of plant operations, maintenance and building renovations
• Review and evaluate programs, services, policies and procedures and implement updates
• Meet with staff and contractors to plan and coordinate programs and procedures
• Monitor workflow to ensure timely completion and regulatory compliance
• Prepare departmental budgets including utilities and energy savings programs
• Maintain records and reports for the department
• Ensure compliance with health, fire, EPA, DEP, ADA, OSHA and other regulations
• Conduct regular staff meetings and coordinate with other departments
• Maintain departments in inspection-ready state and secure assets and funds
• Oversee construction and development of facilities and procurement processes
• Manage vendor bids and negotiate preferred agreements
• Oversee in-house fire response and safety programs
• Ensure daily operations of industrial laundry and staff training
• Oversee regulatory compliance with OSHA and state agencies
• Forecast capital expenditures and supervise equipment installation and maintenance
• Lead engineering upkeep and preventive maintenance
• Develop plans for supervisory staff growth and success
