Job summary

Valley View Community Unit School District 365U is seeking a Director of Building, Operations and Maintenance to lead maintenance, custodial, grounds, and facilities planning at the Administration Center. You will oversee a team, manage budgets, ensure safety, and coordinate with the Assistant Superintendent for Administrative Services.

The role requires a Bachelor's in engineering or related field and at least five years of leadership in building operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree, preferably in engineering, engineering administration or industrial engineering.
• Minimum of five years leadership experience in related engineering activities or building operations.
• Experience in school building grounds operations and maintenance is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Direct all aspects of maintenance and operations services in support of the District's mission and strategic goals.
• Develop and administer procedures and controls to improve efficiency and minimize costs for buildings and grounds.
• Inspect facilities, plan long/short range maintenance, and participate in new construction projects.
• Ensure compliance with environmental, safety and access mandates; manage departmental expenditures.
• Administer staffing for BMO; review organizational structure, policies, and procedures.
