Job summary

Central Transport is seeking a Director of Facilities Maintenance to lead repairs and maintenance for 350+ locations and four corporate offices across North America. Develop long-term equipment plans, manage budgets, and drive cost-saving initiatives while upholding safety standards and regulatory compliance.

The role requires 5+ years in a leadership capacity within logistics, strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems, and proven vendor negotiation skills.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ proven experience in a leadership role overseeing repairs, maintenance, and facilities management.
• Highly skilled in mechanical systems repair, service, and installation (HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical).
• Strong strategic planning and project management skills for large-scale renovation projects.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, time management and decision-making skills.
• Demonstrated ability to build and lead high-performing teams.
• In-depth knowledge of equipment maintenance best practices and emerging trends.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations and local/state building codes.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a strategic vision for repairs and maintenance across 350+ locations.
• Create long-term plans for equipment upgrades and maintenance schedules.
• Build and lead a high-performing repair and maintenance team.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and safety.
• Establish relationships with vendors and suppliers for repairs and procurement.
• Negotiate contracts and ensure cost-effective delivery of service.
• Manage repairs and maintenance budgets including operating and capital budgets.
• Monitor KPIs to identify improvements and cost savings.
• Develop and maintain a preventive maintenance schedule.
• Ensure compliance with regulations related to repairs and maintenance.
• Implement safety protocols and training programs.
