Job summary

Campbell Street in Oakland, CA seeks a Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the maintenance department, coordinate repairs, and ensure all systems comply with safety and building codes. You’ll manage schedules, equipment, and preventive maintenance to keep the center in good repair.

The role requires a high school diploma, plus trade-school training and at least two years of building maintenance experience; supervisory experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Graduation from a technical/trade school and 2 years of building maintenance experience preferred.
• Knowledge of building codes, HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
• Compliance with OSHA and safety requirements; effective communication with residents and staff.
• One year of supervisory experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, coordinate, and perform maintenance department activities to ensure code compliance.
• Schedule repairs and preventive maintenance for machines, tools, and equipment.
• Provide utilities and keep equipment in good working order; monitor expenditures.
• Review plans with engineers; requisition tools and supplies as needed.
• Ensure a safe, comfortable environment and adhere to facility policies.
