Andela is seeking a dynamic Director, External Relations to lead our Public Relations (PR) and Analyst Relations (AR) programs. This is a strategic, senior role for someone who thrives at the intersection of storytelling, market influence, and executive communications.

You will shape how the world understands Andela's mission, products, and market position --- earning mindshare with journalists, industry analysts, and the broader technology ecosystem.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in corporate communications, PR and analyst relations.
• 3-5 years at the senior manager level or higher.
• Proven experience managing external agencies and direct reports.
• Strong relationships with technology media and industry analysts.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute Andela's global PR strategy, including executive thought leadership and brand storytelling.
• Build and maintain relationships with journalists, editors, and media outlets.
• Manage PR agencies, set goals, review deliverables, and ensure results.
• Serve as a strategic communications advisor to the executive team, preparing messaging for media engagements.
• Oversee press releases, bylines, op-eds, pitches and external assets.
• Track earned media and refine strategy based on data.
• Manage crisis communications in partnership with legal and leadership.
• Design and lead Andela's analyst relations program with key firms like Gartner.
• Develop an engagement strategy with analysts and coordinate cross-functional input.
• Negotiate and manage contracts with analyst firms and oversee Peer Insights programs.
