Oregon State University’s Office of Undergraduate Education seeks a Director of Academic Experiential Learning to lead university-wide experiential programs and expand access to transformative hands-on opportunities. You will work across colleges to build partnerships, engage students and faculty, and advance a culture of learning by doing on the Corvallis campus.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree (in any field) required.
• Six years of progressively responsible full‑time work experience in experiential learning or related area; OR a Bachelor’s degree plus eight years.
• Demonstrated experience building collaborative relationships with faculty, staff, students, and campus partners.
• Commitment to experiential learning to advance student success.
• Ability to connect programs of study with experiential opportunities and career readiness.
• Commitment to promoting inclusivity in access to learning opportunities.
• Strong written and verbal communication, including ability to facilitate in group settings.
• Strong organizational and project management skills, including use of technology.
• Mentoring experience with undergraduate students and/or student employees.
• This position is designated as a critical or security‑sensitive position; criminal history check required.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with partners to design and implement programs, workshops, and events promoting undergraduate participation in experiential learning.
• Oversee development of pathways among introductory and advanced experiential learning opportunities.
• Convene, facilitate, and/or participate as a member of cross-functional groups supporting experiential learning at OSU.
• Administer university-wide experiential learning programs (URSA Engage, Learn by Doing) and ensure equitable access to opportunities.
• Create and execute assessment practices for experiential learning including tracking student engagement and access.
• Develop and coordinate campus events showcasing undergraduate research and other experiential learning modes.
• Coordinate outreach to faculty, staff, advisors, alumni and others to promote experiential learning.
