Job summary

AbbVie Inc. is seeking a Director of Security Protective Services to oversee executive protection, event protection, threat management, and investigations. You will lead program development, resource allocation, finance and governance for protective services for senior leaders and travelers.

The role ensures timely and effective results in collaboration with Global Security and other stakeholders, including external partners. Strong leadership and strategic abilities are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required; advanced degree or related educational certifications.
• At least 15 years' experience in a law enforcement, military, or relevant corporate security role.
• Prior manager level or higher supervisory responsibility including team leadership.
• Strong strategic, analytical, and organizational skill.
• Strong business acumen and ability to influence leaders.

Responsibilities

• Strategically implementing the company's Executive Protection program.
• Security of all corporate aircraft and related assets.
• Effective investigative services.
• Threat management.
• Develops and delivers an effective executive protection program.
• Oversight of security service in response to crimes and emergencies; protection of aviation assets.
• Liaison with outside authorities relative to executive protection, threat management, and investigations.
• Identification, engagement, and evaluation of third-party service providers.
• Performance metrics and risk data; compliance with policies.
