About Puttery

Puttery is a modern entertainment destination that blends the energy of nightlife with the fun of tech-infused mini golf. Each location features immersive, themed courses, curated cocktails, and chef-inspired menus, creating an experience that’s equal parts competitive and social.

We're redefining how people connect by combining play, style, and hospitality into one unforgettable atmosphere. At Puttery, every visit is a reason to celebrate.

Job Purpose

The Director of Event Sales Development is responsible for driving event revenue and expanding Puttery Miami 's presence throughout the South Florida market. This is an outreach with intention sales role. Success means more than responding to inbound inquiries.

The Director is expected to actively create business by building a strong local network, developing their own book of business, reconnecting with past clients, prospecting new opportunities, and becoming a visible representative of Puttery throughout the community. From corporate outings and holiday parties to celebrations, social events, networking functions, and large-scale buyouts, this role connects people with an experience they will want to return to and recommend to others.

The Director owns their sales goals, pipeline, relationships, and results. The expectation is simple: know the market, know your clients, create opportunities, follow through, and grow the business. Goals establish the target, not the ceiling.

Build the Business
  • Develop and maintain an active book of business across the South Florida market.
  • Proactively identify and pursue new corporate, social, community, hospitality, and event opportunities.
  • Conduct intentional outbound prospecting through calls, email, in-person visits, networking, referrals, community engagement, and other business-development activity.
  • Build relationships with local companies, event planners, executive assistants, HR and People teams, hotels, residential communities, professional organizations, chambers, destination partners, and other potential referral sources.
  • Spend meaningful time in the market developing relationships and generating new opportunities rather than relying solely on inbound leads.
Turn Relationships into Repeat Business
  • Maintain meaningful relationships with past clients and proactively reconnect regarding upcoming events and future needs.
  • Develop recurring and annual business by understanding clients' event calendars, company milestones, celebrations, meetings, and entertainment needs.
  • Build referral networks that create introductions and opportunities beyond the initial sale.
  • Maintain consistent follow-up throughout the sales cycle and after the event.
  • Become a trusted local resource for clients planning events, not simply a point of contact for a single transaction.
Own the Pipeline and the Number
  • Take ownership of individual and venue event-sales goals and develop actionable strategies to achieve and exceed them.
  • Maintain an active, healthy pipeline across prospecting, qualified opportunities, proposals, booked events, and future business.
  • Consistently evaluate pipeline strength and identify where additional outreach is needed.
  • Track outreach, conversion, booked revenue, repeat business, lost opportunities, and other key sales metrics.
  • Maintain accurate and timely sales activity and client information within applicable CRM and event-management systems.
  • Use sales data and market insight to adjust strategy and prioritize the highest-value opportunities.
Represent Puttery in the Market
  • Serve as an ambassador for Puttery Miami throughout the greater Miami market.
  • Attend networking events, community functions, industry events, client meetings, site visits, and other opportunities that expand Puttery's local presence.
  • Develop partnerships and relationships that introduce new audiences to the venue.
  • Understand the local market, competitive landscape, major employers, business community, event trends, and seasonal opportunities.
  • Confidently communicate the Puttery experience and translate the venue's offerings into solutions for each client's event.
Create Exceptional Events
  • Partner with venue Operations, Culinary, Marketing, and other teams to ensure sold events can be successfully executed.
  • Develop event proposals and experiences aligned with client needs, venue capabilities, and business objectives.
  • Maintain clear communication from initial conversation through event execution and post-event follow-up.
  • Protect the client experience while balancing revenue, operational execution, and long-term relationship value.
  • Identify opportunities to grow event value through thoughtful enhancements, upgrades, and additional experiences.
Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in event sales, hospitality sales, business development, outside sales, venue sales, or a related revenue-generating role.
  • Demonstrated success developing new business through proactive prospecting and relationship building.
  • Experience managing a sales pipeline and working toward defined revenue goals.
  • Ability and willingness to build business outside the four walls through networking, community involvement, client visits, and market outreach.
  • Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-management skills.
  • Ability to independently organize priorities, maintain consistent follow-up, and move opportunities through the sales cycle.
  • Comfortable initiating conversations, asking for business, requesting referrals, and re-engaging previous clients.
  • Working knowledge of CRM, event-management, or sales-tracking systems. (We use tripleseat)
  • Ability to work collaboratively with venue operations and cross-functional partners.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience selling events within hospitality, entertainment, restaurants, hotels, experiential venues, or similar industries.
