Job summary

Community Youth Center of San Francisco (CYC) is seeking a Development Manager to advance fundraising efforts, donor relations, and revenue growth. Reporting to the Director of Development and Communications, you will manage donor systems, support individual giving and major gifts, coordinate campaigns and events, and produce donor materials.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of nonprofit development, fundraising, donor relations, events, or related work.
• Experience supporting individual giving, donor stewardship, campaigns, sponsorships, or fundraising events.
• Strong writing skills for donor-facing materials, emails, reports, and campaign content.
• Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Experience using donor databases/CRMs and tracking systems.
• Ability to work across teams and gather information from program, finance, leadership, and communications staff.
• Commitment to youth development, equity, and culturally responsive practice.

Responsibilities

• Strengthen donor identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship.
• Maintain donor pipeline including current, lapsed, new prospects, event attendees, sponsors, and supporters.
• Prepare briefing materials and donor histories for meetings with leadership.
• Support higher-capacity donors through preparation and follow-up.
• Draft donor correspondence, acknowledgments, emails, pledge reminders, and updates.
• Segment donors by giving level, geography, and engagement history to inform outreach.
• Execute annual and year-end giving campaigns.
