Job summary

Oasis Rehabilitation and Nursing seeks an Experienced Director of Environmental Services in Center Moriches, NY to lead the Environmental Services team and oversee maintenance operations, ensuring cleanliness and safety across the facility.

The role requires supervising ES personnel, coordinating repairs, maintaining records, and enforcing infection control and OSHA guidelines. Strong leadership and problem-solving are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Previous management experience in a skilled nursing facility.

Responsibilities

• Supervise all personnel in the Environmental Services Dept.
• Responsible for all maintenance department operations & personnel
• Regular inspections of the facility, for safety, upkeep, appearance & equipment performance
• Maintain a high level of cleanliness & Safety throughout Facility grounds.
• Plan/coordinate work schedules and assign staff to established work areas & duties.
• Schedule & ensure completion of all maintenance & repairs
• Maintains records of all repairs, preventative maintenance, warranties, and inspections
• Assign equipment to staff; monitor daily equipment use, cleaning & maintenance.
• Ensure that all equipment is clean and in working condition at all times.
• Follow Facility Guidelines and Departmental Policies/Procedures
• Infection Control Policies/Procedures
• Safety/Fire/Disaster/OSHA/Mutual Aid Planning
• Quality Assurance Practices
• NYSDOH Standards
• Strong stress management skills are required.
• Provide individual guidance & motivation to employees.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.

EXPERIENCE:

Previous management experience in a skilled nursing facility

Salary: $85,000.00 per year
