Job summary

Children’s Colorado seeks a Director of Pharmacy to provide strategic and operational leadership for system-wide pharmacy services across multiple sites in Colorado. The role oversees budgeting, HR, quality improvement, regulatory compliance, and the optimization of medication use to support high-quality patient care.

The position requires a PharmD/BSPharm, Colorado licensure, and at least five years as a pharmacist with three years in leadership. Residency equivalencies may apply.

Qualifications

• Five years of experience as a pharmacist, plus three years of leadership experience over a pharmacy service.
• Completion of PGY1, PGY2, or HSPAL residencies considered equivalent to additional years of experience.
• Licensed pharmacist in the state of Colorado.

Responsibilities

• Lead system-wide pharmacy services strategy and operations with a focus on safe, effective, and cost-efficient care.
• Oversee budgeting, human resources, and quality improvement for the department.
• Ensure compliance with Joint Commission, CMS, DEA, and other regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with executive leadership to drive operational transformation and strategic initiatives.
