Gwinnett County Public Schools seeks an Executive Director to lead Enterprise Application Development, Administration, and Support. You will shape the district’s technology strategy, oversee cross-functional teams, and deliver modernization across enterprise systems in a large K-12 setting.

You will guide architecture, security, data governance, and vendor relationships, ensuring reliable operations and strategic investments aligned with instructional and administrative priorities.

Qualifications

• Executive leadership and portfolio management experience in a large technology organization.
• Strong knowledge of modern application architecture, SDLC, systems integration, APIs, automation, testing, release management, and production support.
• Ability to assess administrative requirements, identify gaps, and translate needs into secure, scalable solutions.
• Deep understanding of data governance, data security, privacy, access controls, data quality, integration, and enterprise reporting.
• Lead platform modernization, cloud and vendor-managed solutions, and legacy system retirement.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, budgeting, and vendor-management skills.
• Build trusted partnerships across academic, operational, financial, HR, and technology teams.

Responsabilités

• Support the Chief Technology and Innovation Officer in enterprise technology strategy, governance, plans, budgets, and executive communications.
• Lead and mentor teams responsible for enterprise applications development, administration, and production support.
• Establish and execute a multiyear modernization roadmap aligned with district priorities and legacy system retirement.
• Direct the assessment and documentation of business requirements, rules, workflows, and data integration with process owners.
• Drive the identification of process gaps, technical debt, and data fragmentation by business value and risk.
