Job summary

iRhythm Technologies is seeking a Director of AI Platform & Transformation. This role leads the enterprise AI strategy across platforms, technology, and adoption, moving AI from experimentation to secure, scalable production use.

You will blend executive leadership with hands-on technical depth, partnering across Data, IT, Security, Legal, and Finance. You will architect AI applications, scale platforms with LLMs, RAG, and workflow orchestration, and establish governance, reliability, and cost

Qualifications

• 7+ years building and scaling AI software products for large audiences.
• Experience designing and operating large-scale ML infrastructure for production reliability.
• 4+ years building AI and generative AI systems with LLMs, deployment, and monitoring.
• 3+ years owning an applied AI product domain with measurable business outcomes.
• Hands-on deployment of AI systems using vLLM, Ray, MCP, and Langfuse.
• 7+ years of professional Python experience; strong PySpark/Scala/FastAPI skills.
• Experience building AI products for healthcare decision-making.
• Healthcare AI platform experience with governance and compliance considerations.

Responsibilities

• Define AI platform and transformation roadmap aligned to business priorities.
• Prioritize AI opportunities across multiple business functions.
• Lead initiatives from discovery to production launch and continuous improvement.
• Architect and scale AI applications using generative AI, LLMs, and orchestration.
• Partner with Data Platform and Engineering for governed data products and data quality.
• Set reliability, security, privacy, testing, and cost-control standards.
• Develop business cases, governance playbooks, and executive reporting.
• Build and nurture teams and strategic vendor partnerships; drive AI literacy.
