Job summary

Tide is seeking a Director of Engineering to lead the KYX engineering organization (KYC/KYB) and own the strategy, architecture, and execution across onboarding, due diligence and risk scoring. You will align onboarding identity, policy execution and vendor orchestration with continuous monitoring and ML-powered decisions.

You will scale agentic AI in regulated workflows, drive cost efficiency per member, and collaborate with Ops, Policy, Product, and regulators across multiple markets.

Qualifications

• Experience leading engineering in identity, onboarding, fraud or financial crime domains.
• Strong track record turning platform investment into measurable outcomes: conversion, due diligence quality, unit economics.
• Experience taking ML from development to production at scale and owning model performance.

Responsibilities

• Own the engineering strategy and organisation for KYX from onboarding to continuous monitoring and risk scoring.
• Lead engineering across backend, frontend, data science and ML across multiple global sites.
• Own KYX Scoring & ML as a shared capability serving onboarding and ongoing decisioning.
• Scale agentic AI in regulated workflows with governance and human oversight.
• Collaborate with KYX Ops, KYX Policy, Second Line of Defence and Product across markets.
• Deliver measurable outcomes: higher automated decisioning, better due diligence and lower cost per member.
