Job summary

Mercer University seeks a dynamic Director of Development for the School of Engineering to lead strategic fundraising initiatives and cultivate alumni, community, and industry partnerships that expand support for the school’s mission and growth.

The role requires coordinating events, driving annual and campaign goals, and traveling as needed to engage external constituents and secure resources for Mercer University’s engineering initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field with 2+ years of fundraising experience.
• Engineering background and CRM experience are highly desirable.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and be travel-capable.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate fundraising, corporate relations, and alumni engagement events and activities.
• Encourage external constituents to partner with the Engineering School/University through time, service, and financial support.
• Ensure the School’s annual fund goal is met each fiscal year.
• Ensure the School’s campaign goals are met.
• Plan and orchestrate major alumni/external events and document outcomes in the CRM.
• Facilitate communication to develop mutually beneficial partnerships.
