Job summary

University of Missouri - Columbia's College of Engineering seeks a Senior Director of Advancement who will plan, develop, and execute major gift strategies ($50,000+) in collaboration with the Executive Director and College leadership. You will manage a donor portfolio and drive proposals and donor engagement.

The role requires strong donor lifecycle understanding, exceptional communication, strategic thinking, and the ability to lead across teams.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
• Experience with major gifts and donor engagement is preferred.
• Strong ability to cultivate, solicit, and steward donors and prospects.
• Experience with campaign planning and evaluating fundraising performance.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a portfolio of major gift donors and close proposals.
• Develop strategic plans with Engineering leadership to increase donor engagement.
• Prepare annual operating plan for securing gifts and track progress.
• Collaborate with development staff on donor stewardship.
• Identify volunteers and resources to assess donor linkage and interest.
• Ensure cultivation and solicitation of prospects capable of significant gifts.
• Document donor activity in the Advancement database.
• Attend engineering donor events and University Advancement meetings.
• Participate in prospect strategy meetings and university functions.
• Assist with other advancement projects as needed.
