Job summary

The University of Maryland's A. James Clark School of Engineering seeks an Assistant Director of Development to cultivate and solicit corporate and foundation partnerships, contributing to strategic fundraising goals and advancing school priorities.

You will work with eight engineering departments, manage a donor pipeline, participate in events, and support student programs; travel evenings/weekends required, and a strong track record in gifts over 25k preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
• Three (3) years of professional development, fundraising or external relations experience.
• May involve supervisory responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Cultivate and solicit gifts from corporate, foundation, and institutional donors.
• Develop a prospect pipeline and strategies to maximize engagement and investments.
• Manage and enhance the Clark School Corporate Partners Program and partner events.
• Advise student groups and competition teams on case for support and sponsor communications.
• Travel locally and nationally; participate in evening/weekend engagement as needed.
