Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering discipline.
  • Proven experience delivering ammonia projects.
  • 20+ years leading major industrial, energy, chemical, petrochemical, LNG, or related process facility projects.
  • Experience managing large EPC contractors and multidisciplinary engineering teams.
  • Strong governance, project execution, process safety, risk management, and operational readiness knowledge.
  • Desirable experience with hydrogen, carbon capture, LNG, methanol, or petrochemical facilities.

  • Provide leadership across process, mechanical, piping, electrical, instrumentation, civil, and structural disciplines.
  • Drive safety, quality, schedule, cost, and risk management for the projects.
  • Support procurement strategies for critical equipment and long-lead items.
  • Lead commissioning, performance testing, operational readiness, and project handover activities.
  • Serve as a key interface with executive leadership, stakeholders, contractors, and project partners.

We are seeking a Director of Engineering to join a clean energy developer advancing large-scale industrial decarbonization projects in North America. This role will lead engineering execution from project development and FEED through EPC execution, commissioning, startup, and operational readiness while serving as a key member of the owner's project team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead engineering activities across development, FEED, detailed engineering, construction, commissioning, and startup.
  • Manage EPC contractors, technology licensors, engineering partners, and key vendors.
  • Provide leadership across process, mechanical, piping, electrical, instrumentation, civil, and structural engineering disciplines.
  • Drive project performance related to safety, quality, schedule, cost, and risk management.
