Job summary

Capgemini in New York seeks an experienced Principal Engineering Architect/Director of Engineering to lead product engineering and AI platform teams. You will bridge technical vision with PDLC execution, scaling distributed cloud-native platforms and steering agentic AI roadmaps with LangChain/LangGraph loops.

You will mentor high-performance squads, own the architecture, and partner with Product, UX, and executives to deliver high-velocity, resilient software at scale from the New York hub.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software engineering experience with 4+ years in leadership at scale.
• Bachelor's or Master's in CS or related field from a Tier 1 institution.
• Experience partnering with PDLC, Product, UX and executives to drive delivery roadmaps.
• Strong cloud and web architecture background with enterprise API ecosystems.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor engineering squads across full-stack and cloud platforms.
• Own architecture and delivery roadmap for distributed systems and AI loops.
• Foster rapid, data-informed iteration with KPIs and CD standards.
• Drive generative AI strategy and governance within core workflows.
• Champion engineering excellence and rigorous code/design reviews.
