This role spearheads process optimization and facility modernization through targeted equipment and process upgrades. Additionally, they identify and integrate new technologies to enhance safety, production efficiency, and product quality.
Qualifications
Qualified candidates will have a BS degree in manufacturing engineering or related field and minimum of five years of experience leading engineers in a manufacturing industry. Preferred candidates will have experience in sheet metal bending and fabrication, ISO (9000 and 14000) compliant operations and lean/ six sigma certification. Other combinations of education and experience will be considered.

The usual and customary methods of performing the job functions require using fingers to type, handle objects, tools and controls. Generally, the job requires 85% sitting. The employee is regularly required to talk and hear to communicate with others. Incumbent is required to have visual acuity to perform activities such as viewing a computer terminal, analyzing data, etc. The noise and temperature are commensurate with a typical office environment.
Alternate physical demands exist when in the manufacturing setting to perform work. This could include- Using fingers to handle objects, tools and controls. Continuous wrist and finger movement for carrying and using equipment, tools (working with small bolts, nuts, screws, adding inserts, flushing out parts, flaming parts) etc. The employee may be required to push and/or pull up to 60 pounds; lift and/or carry 40 pounds. Required standing, twisting, bending, pushing, pulling, carrying, stooping, reaching and grasping up to 8+ hours per day for a few consecutive days during the implementation phase of a project. The noise and temperature level are above average, or commensurate with a typical manufacturing environment.
