Civicworks is seeking a Director of Energy and Sustainability in Maryland to lead cross-agency energy and decarbonization initiatives. You will oversee energy procurement strategies, performance contracting, and sustainable procurement to meet climate goals.

The role requires building alliances with state agencies and legislators while directing a team to implement infrastructure projects such as EV charging and building decarbonization programs.

Competenze

• Demonstrated leadership experience managing energy, sustainability, or climate initiatives within a large public-sector agency.
• Experience in utility management, energy contracts, or power purchasing with renewable/clean energy focus.
• Experience collaborating with external stakeholders and legislative bodies on sustainability policies.
• Minimum five years managing sustainability programs and staff in government.
