Job summary

The Chicago Transit Authority seeks a Total Health and Benefits Expert to lead employee wellness and health benefits across the CTA population. This role oversees wellness initiatives, health insurance programs, and vendor relationships, while acting as an ombudsman for benefit matters and driving program improvements.

The position requires managing RFPs for health services, ensuring regulatory compliance, and presenting annual wellness impact reports to leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and five years of administration experience designing and implementing benefits and wellness programs.

Responsibilities

• Outlines and oversees all aspects of the Employee Wellness program including program design and administration.
• Leads the planning and delivery of the Wellness Program promoting healthy lifestyles and mental wellbeing.
• Manages wellness program vendors, managers, healthcare providers, and consultants as they pertain to Wellness delivery.
• Coordinates use of Employee Assistance resources (EAP) and related trainings to support wellbeing.
• Plans, implements, and oversees the Authority's benefit plans and vendor relationships.
• Oversees annual enrollment including plan offerings, design changes, and rates.
• Ensures health plan designs meet legal requirements (ERISA, HIPAA, IRS, DOL, ACA).
• Performs data analysis on wellness information and reports metrics to senior management.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, Health Education (Clinical or Health Related Field such as Exercise, Nutrition, Nursing, or Public Health, Health Promotion, Exercise Science, Nutrition, Nursing, Corporate Wellness, or a related field
