Job summary

Transdev is seeking a Director of Benefits to lead strategic design and management of U.S. health, welfare and well-being programs for a large, dispersed workforce across 350+ locations.

The role reports to the CHRO and oversees vendor management, compliance, communications, and program optimization. You will balance employee value with financial sustainability, analyze healthcare data, and present recommendations to senior leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, Finance or related field is required.
• 10+ years in corporate benefits/Total Rewards with leadership experience.
• Strong expertise in U.S. health and welfare benefits; self-insured experience preferred.
• Experience with healthcare claims, actuarial analysis, financial modeling, and cost management.
• Experience supporting union and non-union populations preferred.
• Vendor management, procurement, negotiations, and contract management experience.
• Experience with HRIS/payroll interfaces, eligibility and enrollment, and process improvement.
• Experience supporting acquisitions or benefits harmonization preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a multi-year U.S. benefits strategy aligned with Total Rewards objectives.
• Lead design and management of health, welfare, and well-being programs for union and non-union employees.
• Own benefits financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and multi-year cost modeling.
• Analyze claims and trends to identify cost drivers and develop cost-management strategies.
• Lead benefits administration and operations across 350+ locations for accuracy and efficiency.
• Manage relationships with carriers, consultants, brokers, TPA, and procurement.
• Establish benefits KPIs, dashboards, and reporting on financial performance and outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with ERISA, ACA, HIPAA, COBRA, IRS, and DOL requirements.
