Job summary

Boston Public Schools (BPS) seeks a strategic, service-oriented Director of Employee Services within the Office of Human Resources to lead high-volume HR operations and employee lifecycle services in the Central Office. This role balances transactional processing with process improvement, data integrity, and strong policy compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Five+ years of progressively responsible professional experience in human resources, employee services, HR operations, or a related field.
• Experience supervising and developing staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational leadership for Employee Services and Employee Information staff.
• Lead administration and processing of leaves of absence, salary lane changes, and other lifecycle transactions.
• Ensure data integrity through audits, controls, and proper documentation.
• Establish service standards, workflows, escalation protocols, and accountability measures.
• Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for Employee Services and Information functions.
• Coordinate cross-training to maintain continuity of HR operations.
