Job summary

Boston Public Schools seeks a Senior Director to lead the OSS Related Services department, reporting to the Deputy Chief of Specialized Services. You will guide service planning, alignment with the Inclusive Education Plan, and district-wide strategies to improve student outcomes for students with disabilities.

In this role, you will supervise multiple supervisors across the district, oversee staffing, budgeting, and grant management, and drive data-informed decisions to ensure equitable service

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or higher in Educational Leadership or related field.
• Certified Special Education Administrator certification required.
• Significant leadership experience in urban education systems.
• Deep knowledge of IDEA and inclusive practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for the OSS Related Services department.
• Partner with senior leadership to design district-wide strategies.
• Lead long-range planning aligned to Inclusive Education Plan.
• Oversee staffing, supervision, and professional learning.
• Develop data-informed staffing and resource allocation models.
• Foster staff engagement and supportive work culture.
• Manage budget and federal/state/local grants.
