Job summary

Boston Public Schools is seeking a Senior Director to provide leadership for Related Services under the Deputy Chief of Specialized Services. You will join the OSS Executive Team and guide service delivery for thousands of students with disabilities across the district.

This high-impact role requires strategic planning, talent management, budget oversight, and collaboration with schools, administrators, and unions to ensure equitable access and high-quality instruction.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher in a related field; certification preferred.
• Significant leadership experience in urban education systems.
• Demonstrated expertise in managing large teams and complex organizational systems.
• Strong background in project management, strategic planning, and data-driven decision-making.
• Deep knowledge of IDEA, service delivery models, and inclusive practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall leadership for the OSS Related Services department.
• Partner with OSS senior leadership to design district-wide strategies.
• Lead long-range planning aligned to the Inclusive Education Plan for students with disabilities.
• Oversee a team of 4 Division Supervisors and supervise related service providers.
• Ensure strong operational systems for day-to-day service delivery and staff supervision.
• Develop a data-informed staffing and resource allocation model.
• Foster staff engagement, recruit and retain qualified personnel, and manage workforce continuity.
