Job summary

Sunward seeks an experienced Director of Internal Communications to lead the team responsible for engaging employees and telling Sunward's story as part of Vision 2035. You will supervise the internal communications function, shape a comprehensive strategy, and ensure executive messaging aligns with priorities while driving cultural change.

You will oversee the Unity Hub intranet, plan enterprise-wide events, and partner with leadership to foster an engaged workforce.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8–10 years of internal/ corporate communications or organizational change experience.
• Experience leading teams, budgets, and enterprise-wide communications strategies.
• Proven track record with large-scale internal events, digital platforms, and brand activation.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Internal Communications team to deliver high-quality messaging and engagement campaigns across the organization.
• Develop and execute a comprehensive internal communications strategy that strengthens employee connection to Vision 2035.
• Oversee the content, strategy, and adoption of Unity Hub intranet as a central hub for information and engagement.
• Plan and execute enterprise-wide events including town halls, all-hands meetings, and annual all-staff events with budget oversight.
• Partner with executive leadership to craft clear executive messaging aligned with strategic priorities.
• Manage change communications planning for major initiatives, including technology launches and organizational changes.
• Champion innovation by researching and integrating new communications tools and AI capabilities.
• Lead crisis communications protocols for internal audiences and ensure timely information during emergencies.
• Drive employee engagement measurement through scores, feedback, and adoption metrics.
• Oversee employee brand activation and swag programs to bring the Sunward brand to life across the organization.
• Manage and optimize the internal communications budget to maximize impact.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to break down silos and align messaging.
