Director of Electrical Engineering, Power Delivery

Position Overview

We are seeking a Director of Electrical Engineering, Power Delivery, to lead our energy professionals, focusing on substation and transmission engineering. The ideal candidate will have 15+ years of related experience and be based in one of our offices in Atlanta, GA; Peachtree Corners, GA; Tampa, FL; The Woodlands, TX; or Denver, CO. This role supports the Power Services program across the U.S., working on projects in multiple markets and geographies.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead design of electric transmission and substation projects, overseeing layouts, routing, and electrical design for voltages from LV to EHV.
• Manage project scoping, cost estimation, and proposal development.
• Mentor and guide the engineering team to foster technical growth and innovation.
• Collaborate with project managers and multidisciplinary teams to ensure project success.
• Review engineering deliverables to meet industry and client standards.
• Represent Pond at client meetings, job sites, and industry conferences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or related field; Master's preferred.
• Professional Engineering License (PE) preferred.
• 15+ years in transmission and substation design services.
• Experience managing technical teams and mentoring.
• Knowledge of industry codes, standards, and design software.
• Strong teamwork, motivation, and multi-tasking skills.

Compensation and Benefits

The pay range is $150,000 - $190,000 annually, based on experience and location. Additional incentives and comprehensive benefits are offered. All employment is contingent on background checks and other standard procedures.
