Duties:

1. Provide expert legal counsel on patent prosecution, focusing on technologies such as 5G, Wi-Fi, wireless technologies, AI, and processor systems.
2. Manage patent portfolios for clients, ensuring timely filings and compliance with legal requirements.
3. Draft and prosecute patent applications in electrical engineering and related fields.
4. Conduct patentability, freedom-to-operate, and validity assessments for new technologies.
5. Represent clients before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).
6. Collaborate with clients and internal teams to develop strategies for intellectual property protection.
7. Stay updated on developments in patent law, especially in electrical engineering, wireless technologies, and AI.

Requirements:

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years patent prosecution experience.
• USPTO registration or eligibility to register.
• Admission to and good standing with a state Bar, or eligibility to waive in.
• Strong technical expertise in 5G, Wi-Fi, wireless technologies, AI, processor and memory systems, image processing, and RF front-end.
• Excellent communication skills, with ability to manage complex patent portfolios and communicate effectively with clients.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.

Certifications:

• Registered with the USPTO or qualified to register.

Skills:

• Strong background in patent prosecution and IP law.
• Knowledge of autonomous vehicles, robotics, NLP, wireless communications, and computer vision is a plus.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience managing patent portfolios for clients.
• Proficiency in handling complex legal documents.
