Job summary

NAEM seeks a Director of Educational Programs to lead the development and operation of its online and in-person EHS & Sustainability learning programs. You will convene corporate leaders, manage speaker programs, and coordinate sponsorship elements to advance professional development.

The role requires strong project management, stakeholder relationships, and outstanding writing and communication skills, with travel to support conferences and events.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or advanced degree required; relevant fields include sustainability management, environmental policy, nonprofit management, business administration or journalism.
• Fluency in current events and corporate sustainability issues.
• 5 years of relevant work experience in creating, researching, implementing and evaluating professional development programs.
• Strong project management skills and ability to work independently or in a team.
• Ability to cultivate relationships with corporate leaders, NGOs and policymakers.
• Excellent writing, research and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and operation of online and in-person learning programs focused on how companies manage and advance EHS & Sustainability goals.
• Convene volunteer committees of corporate EHS and sustainability leaders and identify compelling speakers.
• Oversee event staffing, contracts, contractors, and event logistics for in-person and virtual events.
• Formulate short and long-term strategic plans for association learning programs and manage budgets.
• Collaborate with marketing to promote events, develop promotional materials, and support website content.
