DSJ Global is seeking a Director of Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) to provide strategic leadership for environmental compliance, workplace safety, regulatory programs, and risk management across multiple manufacturing operations.

The role partners with executive leadership and site teams to strengthen safety culture, drive continuous improvement, and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety or related field.
  • 10+ years of progressive EHS leadership experience in manufacturing.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, DOT, permitting, air quality, water compliance, hazardous waste.
  • Experience interfacing with regulatory agencies.
  • Experience leading workers' compensation and safety improvement programs.
  • Demonstrated success leading teams and safety culture transformation across multiple locations.
  • Strong communication, project management, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Balance strategic initiatives with hands-on support of site operations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop EHS teams and foster a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Develop and implement environmental, health, and safety strategies aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Monitor and improve EHS performance through KPI tracking, audits, inspections, and risk assessments.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Oversee environmental programs including air, water, waste, permitting, and reporting.
  • Serve as primary liaison with regulatory agencies during inspections and permitting activities.
  • Lead incident investigations, corrective action programs, and risk reduction initiatives.
  • Provide oversight of safety training programs, employee engagement initiatives, and contractor compliance.
  • Manage workers' compensation and return-to-work programs while supporting risk management.
  • Track regulatory developments and implement proactive changes to maintain compliance.
  • Partner with operational leadership to identify and eliminate workplace hazards.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field required; advanced degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive EHS leadership experience within a manufacturing, industrial, or related environment.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, DOT, environmental permitting, air quality, water compliance, hazardous waste management, and regulatory systems.
  • Experience managing environmental compliance programs and interfacing directly with regulatory agencies.
  • Experience leading workers' compensation, incident management, and safety improvement programs.
  • Demonstrated success leading teams and driving safety culture transformation across multiple locations or business units.
  • Strong communication, project management, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to balance strategic initiatives with hands-on support of site operations and compliance activities.
Work Environment
  • Combination of office, manufacturing, and field environments.
  • Regular interaction with production facilities, operational leadership, and regulatory agencies.
  • Ability to travel as needed to support multiple facilities and business operations.
  • Availability to support emergency response and critical business needs when required.
