Zachary Piper Solutions seeks an experienced Director of Business Development, DoW, to drive growth in the DoW space. The role focuses on strategic opportunities across U.S. DoW programs while building senior-level relationships with defense customers and industry partners.

You will support DoW Sales Executives and help advance opportunities through the full sales lifecycle. This onsite role in Tysons Corner, VA requires up to 50% travel and a deep understanding of defense budgeting,

Qualifikationen

• Minimum of 7–10 years of business development and/or sales experience within the U.S. defense market.
• Broad network and established relationships across the DoW and defense community.
• Demonstrated experience developing strategic opportunities across multiple defense organizations, programs, or commands.
• Proven ability to support and collaborate with sales teams in developing and advancing complex opportunities.
• Strong understanding of DoW acquisition, procurement, budgeting, and contracting processes.
• Strong strategic thinking with the ability to identify opportunities beyond individual accounts or service branches.
• Excellent relationship-building, communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

Aufgaben

• Develop and execute an overarching DoW business development strategy aligned with growth objectives.
• Identify and develop strategic opportunities across DoW organizations, programs, and commands.
• Build and maintain senior-level relationships with DoW customers and industry partners.
• Partner with DoW Sales Executives to develop accounts and opportunities.
• Assist the sales team in advancing opportunities through the sales lifecycle and positioning for capture.
• Identify opportunities spanning multiple services and programs, coordinating DoW sales efforts.
• Develop strategic partnerships and channels to strengthen market position.
• Monitor DoW priorities, budgets, programs, and competitive trends.
• Collaborate with Sales, Pre-Sales, Product, and leadership on strategies and solutions.
• Provide pipeline visibility, market intelligence, and strategic recommendations to leadership.
• Represent the organization at senior-level meetings, demos, conferences, and defense events.
